So the total of my h2g2 sponsorship is £60... so far.

I didn't know Jimmy Saville was still alive.

There were lots of races held all at the same time across the country. 80 thousand people took part in total, apparently. At each race there was a sprinkling of celebs (as they're known these days). Mostly C-list and retired sports stars, of course. Chris Moyles is a Radio One DJ and hails from these parts. Harry Gration is a local BBC newsreader and is less well known across the country, although he was a newsreader in the southern region for a while. There were some actors from the long-running soap Emmerdale (formerly known as Emmerdale Farm) but it's not something I watch and the only actor I could identify was Lorraine Chase, who you might recognise if you saw her Lil because she was quite famous back in the Seventies. Emmerdale is filmed on the nearby Harewood estate where they have built a mock village to do the external scenes.

Sir James is quite reclusive these days but he turns out for all the charity events in the park. He was at the Race for Life too.

How old is he now?

He'll be 78 in October.

Oh, he'll live to be 150, and look the same as he did in the 70's.
