The Beach: Sea and Sand

Welcome to the H2G2 beach, where there's always sun, sea ,sand and surf, and hopefully a few wonderful people to meet.
I'd like to remind you all that this is a HRASC area, so no swimming costumes or the sharks'll get you!
But sit back, relax, and enjoy the swimming.

Sharks my fanny!
I am not going to let this uncontrollable bodymass go uncontrolled!
*Plants her parasol firmly in the sand, way out of reach of any suicidal sharks and whatnots*

Urm... Fair enough
So, welcome to the beach for the second time Bumblebee.
(Hmm, if it is uncontrollable, why not let it be uncontrolled? Or is that an impolite question...?)

I'm not going to answer that.
*tips down her sunglasses and looks around*
Is it possible to get a drink here on the beach?

Yuo see - it's amazing what you can get on a beach.
We've even got a barbecue around on a different thread, but this one is all about sitting back and relaxing on a beach.

*Pr. C. Tonks comes walking down the Beach, just on one of his strolls, and notices some people. Before they see him, he quickly presses a button on his Watch and goes invisible...*
*Erm, that's including him and the clothes...*

Is it just me, or is a digital watch floating about over there?
It's not DD and one of his SEP fielded JCBs again, I hope.

Hiya!
I moved the beach as at 500 posts, it was a little long, and sometimes it's nice to get a new perspective on things. The last beach thread wasn't overly beachy

You can if you want to, but I don't expect many people will use it much anymore.
They can all find a happy home here.

I'm glad.
So, what do you think of the beach? Nice place for a swim?
Do mermaids build sandcastles?

I love this beach!
And if you show me how, I'd love to build a sandcastle!
I never venture far out of the water though.
There are a lot of cats and Pirates in h2g2!
And though I can swim very fast in water, on land I am like....erm....a fish out of water?

Okay, if you're able to go onto the shore a little, I'll help you build one. We don't have to go that far from the water's edge if you don't want to - or we could build a sandcastle with a very wide moat around it that you can swim along if that'd help?
Don't worry - you're safe from s and s here.

Ooh! A big one with a moat sounds fantastic!
Can I stay in the water until the moat is filled?
Then you can carry me to the moat, and I can help you build the sandcastle!
I'll go get some interesting shells!
Thanks, Bluebottle!
Watch out for and !

*The Pofessor hits his Watch for not making itself invisible as well, and it goes invisible..*
*He wonders over to where they are building sancastles, and watches, silently...*

I could have sworn I saw a watch floating about, oh well - must have been my eyes playing tricks.
But yes, AquaMarina, you can stay in the water until the moat is filled, and I can dig a channel from the sea to the moat so that you don't even have to be carried there, but can swim to and from the castle and sea as you wish.
*Starts digging the channel and moat*
