Andrew has just been dropped off by Mum at the college where there's a coach waiting to take the students on his course to the Prince William Barracks at Grantham (until Friday).
For the first time in 31 years, there's just me... good job I have my and you lot or I'd be really lonely

Great, you'll have time on your hands, lass, so you can make cups of tea for us.

That should keep you going
I'm off to the Senior Screen, dunno what they're showing, don't care.
Gnomon, I'm done subbing Sirius, but on checking, I find you're not subscribed to your own message centre, or maybe you're ignoring me,

Enjoy, m'dearie, enjoy!
I'm currently enjoying an empty nest myself as of last Friday. Just hope it will last this time! My offspring have the tendency to move back and forth..

Mala, the you have to fight about the spare bed with Leopardess. Her claws are presently VERY sharp, since she rather violently refuses to have them cut

It hasn't hit me yet, as Liam is due here as usual, but it will probably be like a house when Liam & Laura have gone. Still got my very loving though, who's fussing round me like she has forgiven me for taking her to the Vets already

are you kidding? cats couldn't care less as long as they get free food, a thorough now and then and what else they want
and i happen to love that kind of independence
don't get me wrong, i like dogs too, but they are such a hassle while a cat usually can look out for itself if it hasn't been spoiled
i've been living alone for nigh on 12 years now, AGB, and i still enjoy the upsides of it

Make the very best of the time GB, and pamper yourself. 'Me' time is a new thing for you so don't waste it.
Have a lovely break.

It's good to hear that you're forgiven - not all cats do this, in my experience. Some stay mad for hours.

I know what you mean. I always considered the best part of the day to be the time after leaving mums house. Or before arriving, perhaps. But certainly not during.
