At least your cat will be happier now, and while you pay the bill off, at least be thankful there'll be no vet's bills for lots of kittens!

The vet had your kitteh in stitches?
I didn't know you could do that - that must have been a very funny vet.
...oh wait
Stitches...
Poor kitteh
And the Bill
Poor you!
well, it's good that's all over with.

I'm actually a bit upset at getting a bill for £57 for the first injection, (2nd one is included in the price, apparently, that's in three weeks' time).
I asked my #1 son who has two cats, what they cost for their vaccinations, and he said about £19 each.

That sounds a bit of a difference... might it be worth ringing a couple of other vets and asking how much they would charge for the same injections yours has just had, and work out where you're better off in future.
It could be that they are quite different from the vaccination ones, though, which might explain the price difference...

I popped back in yesterday morning on the way to tne cinema and asked for their price list. Different receptionist, she showed me a cardboard listing, cat - full inoculation including leukemia - £57. There's only one other vet practice nearby and it's just over the border into Gy (cough) behind Ramsdens superstore, parallel to the railway line into Cleethorpes. The area is a bit run-down. As in, I'll not park my car there, and leave it for 5 mins never mind the half hour I waited at the Vets on Monday. The next one I know of is the place where Andrew spent his work experience, off Bargate, poshest part of Gy, possibly more expensive than Eastfield Vets. Thing is, I bought Pet Insurance when I got Goldie, but it only covers dental, new illnesses and accidents, not inoculations, not spaying but I did get the spaying for £5 because she was a rescue cat, the place I got her from have an arrangement with the RSPCA (I think) but the rest of the bill was settled by them. That was £57, too. Which is why I thought the receptionist on Monday made a mistake, I find it baffling that they'd charge the same for two inoculations as an actual medical operation involving anaesthetic, shaving, medical procedure and aftercare

Bear in mind this is part of a medical organisation - common sense is left at the front door - as I found a couple of days ago at my particular institution.
Diagnosis: post aortic valve repair
Specimen: Vaginal Swab
and:
Diagnosis: Tonsillitis
Specimen: Axilla swab (your axilla is your armpit!)
