h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Um on Thursday I got sent some really offensive and abusive messages on MSN from a party I was meant to be at, with people who have my email address and I considered friends.

the jist because still too offensive to show people on here but it basically saying I was a fat cow and that was the reason I deserved being treated like this.

I'm not exactly the most secure of people, but I've been called by "friends" and family 'loyal to the last' I can't be loyal to people like that anymore, it's bad enough a complete stranger making a glib comment about you but hearing your friends say that kinda of stuff repeatidly - even if drunk - is worst. They've put me through so much crap over the past 12 years, this is where my life starts again. I'm getting away from here, away from them, I won't see or hear from them again and I'll make new friends. There are people out there an infinitely better than those people I laughingly loved and stuck by and call my friends. If anything the complete strangers I've met on here have proved that.

So I'm changing my email address, my MSN tehrefore will change and so I'm warning you all in advance of a new email address which will appear in your inboxs if you have it already. I thought I should say and in particular as my information for h2g2 and the various volunteer email groups will change by teh weeks end. So Mina, Anna, Abi or any of the Italics if you're reading this I'm sorry if it takes me a while to get back into the swing of my duties straight away.

I probably won't be online as much either, the ellure of the internet seems to have been shaken considering I don't know who out of my group of friends where in fact writing to me on Thursday and if I'm honest I'm a bit scared at the idea that it's so easy to be unrecognisable when in someone elses email account. plus the easiness that the Data Protection Act and security measures can be breeched these days.

It may seem like I'm overreacting, but the stuff they said and the way they've treated me in the past...it's too much, I can't carry on trying to be loyal and nice to people who have used me most of my life. I guess it's just the kick I needed to move on for good.

So anyone who has my email addy and I don't readd to my buddy list by the end of the week give me a shout and tell me.

I know, I don't intend to go back, even if it means a lonely summer and even if they beg...which they won't.

They're not worth anyones pain, anger or tears. Least of all mine.

I'm confident you'll make good friend at uni or wherever you go in life!

A slight change of title

At least I guess I can count my blessings, this has come at a crossroads where I could either cling on to the past, or become the person I want to be in the future.

This is better in the long run...a clean break.

Its the right choice. (Perhaps you'll be lucky and not see them ever again)

A lot of them I probably won't, others it'll be hard to avoid as they're either gonna be on the same campus or they live in a 5minute radius from where I do. At least it's not going to be everyday.

Just wondering - aren't there at least a couple of people who you know with whom you'd like to stay in touch? I went through something similar - well, not similar, since I went mad and lots of people stopped speaking to me - but I still have a small group of people at home who I like to keep in touch with. It can be quite lonely, otherwise.

Just, as I say, wondering...

There are a couple, people outwith that group of friends, other than that I don't know if I could take sitting around waiting for something else to happen.

And for college it's not like I'm far from home, an hour by bus, half an hour by car, so anyone I meet there I'll be able to spend time with.

I'll miss them I guess, but I've had so much grief from them, but's better I just move on, it'll let me grown I guess, it's not often you stay in the same group of friends from infants to adults.
