Shellers (Master of wit and ready repartee) Posted Sep 11, 2000
If you're asleep Emily - people who are turned on by sleeping people are called Shellers.
I must admit that it's a wonderful feeling to wake up and find that you're being made love to.

The thought of waking up with someone doing something like that is at best frightening. Don't you feel violated?

I'm not really here Posted Sep 14, 2000
I've been woken up by someone starting to make love to me. I sleep too lightly for him to have ever got very far though. But I thought it was a nice way to be woken up.

Cathy - I'm male, so that might make a difference. I can imagine that a woman might feel more violated than a bloke at finding themselves being made love to.

I gathered that you were male does that really make much of a difference in this case? The idea really doesn't appeal to me and I doubt that it's just because I'm female.
BTW somnophilia is the word for a fettish relating to sleeping persons.

Hooray! Now at least I know what I should call myself... cheers Cathy.
Incidentally, do you have any idea what someone with a fetish for still people is called?

Are you sure thay are still people and haven't transmogrified while you weren't looking.

Are you sure about the somnophilia? "Somnus" is a Latin word, and "philos" is Greek...

Cathy Posted Sep 22, 2000
I'm as sure as a person can be when their source is "the web". I'm assuming that the word is a fairly recent addition to the language and therefore a greek-latin hybrid isn't out of the ordinary.

I really cannot comprehend such behaviour.
I didn't even know the practise existed.
I was shocked when my daughter told me what a "golden shower" was

Will Jenkins (Dead) Posted Sep 22, 2000
Enlighten me, what is a golden shower? Other than a shower made of Gold.
