I'll keep it brief cos I'm in the library doing this, my lunch break is nearly up and this is costing me money.
The computer at home is dead. It looks like a virus not entirely sure but were are mysteriously loosing DLL files and windows needs to be re-installed. This means formatting the hard disk and loosing everything.
So I'm gonna be missing for a while until we either fix it or buy a new one.
So anyway, it looks like a complete overhaul of the system is in order - eithger way it's gonna take a while so I shant be around much if at all until it is fixed. What are the odds that will happen?
What am I bid?
okay one hangman's noose...one hangman's noose...any advance on one hangman's - okay yessir - the man with the pistol to his forehead any *BLAM* okay - bid withdrawn - it goes back to the hangman's noose
any, - alright somebody check the man with his head in the oven, see if he actually raised his hand or it was his death throe. Hang man's noose? going once....going twice...oh no wait a telephone bid. SOLD to the manic depressive with the razor blade!
I swear computers are sent here to try us.

Don't feel too bad - Avenging Washcloth's computer died last night too - dead as in doornail as in send it back to the factory to fix it. At least hers is still under warranty, but for someone who is used to spending every single evening on the computer, it's going to be a major adjustment.

lunch break again.
Thanks Guys.
It's going down to a repair shop on Doobry. They are going to keep as much of the hard-drive as can be salvaged but we're resigned to loosing it all and hoping to be pleasently surprised. Once that's done, it will be re-install again and then srting out all of whats missing (esp. internet access , MS WORD etc) so it shouldn't be too long but for someone who spends most nights on the computer in some form or another this is definately anoying.
