wow this place wasn't been active for weeks! nice to see a fresh reply!
Stupidity is all relative just as everything else in the world. I mean it's difficult to even try and define it!

Stupidity is in the eyes of the witness and only becomes apparent to the accused in hindsight

Stupidity and stupid people deserve a lot of credit. Stupidity is everywhere after all and is the driving force in all of everything. If stupid people hadn't done stupid things we would still be in the trees. I should know, I specialize in stupid, it is what I do.

Thought I'd add my twopennyworth.
Is stupidity (in people or cultures) the result of not learning from experience? History is littered with such examples.
To bandy quotes about:
" They say that one learns from experience; if that were true, the human race would now be devoid of folly"

If you split stupidity you get an part of it .Its the matter of the divisor or something like that . For me is stupidity the only one existing perpedoum mobile . It's equal how much of it you will kill you got unending new versions . Its the Hydrasyndrom I would call it ! But if you ask some if he stupid they will be noing you with very hard arguments . So where is all this stupidity ?

sorry to butt in but in a thread about stupidity we are getting very highbrow.
Please allow me to drag it back down with a quote about stupidity's cousin idiocy.
"Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to there level and beat you with experience"

who would have thought that a string on stupidity could last this long? well, i suppose it is every where... now what i like is the kind of stupidity disguised as intelegence... for example, technologie that's supposed to make life easier, but really makes things more difficult... but then again, i am using this technologie and i do plan to make it my lively hood...

If stupidity is so plentiful then we will have to learn to harness it, in the future you could see planes run with stupidity rather than with petrol.

Wel it was stupidity to drop a bottle of hydrogen in the early universe, now it's spread all over the place.
However i lost that page about great formula's in my hitchhickers guide. But if i remember wel below the line
E=MC^2 - 10 ^-1000000000000001 * S(t)
there was a line
S(t)[up+id,ity]= A(dropped * botle_off [hydrogen] ) / early universe
ofcourse i could have made a stupid error here, as i dont' remember it that well. Although i do remember S(t)[up+id,ity] to be one of the greatest impact on the universe.

Is stupidity a real thing, Of course it is. The USA government has an intersting mix of arrogance, Ignorance, a heck of a lot of stupidity, and over blown egos. I am not proud to be an american at this point, I wish I could move to New Zealand. If I had an equation for the US government It would be:
[(AGN+IGNS)=HOALOSTPDTY]+OBEGOS=Doomed
Hey I can't chose em' yet.
Oh well with that said, there is enough stupidity in the US Gov. to power 1,000,000 galaxys of suns with stupid suns. !!
