I think Sporky is sitting right over that wormhole that Garis duct taped closed the other day.

Perhaps another layer of duct tape is needed
I've been getting some odd things happen, like reloading my page and it tells me that I've posted just now, when before it said I posted say 5 mins ago!

And sometimes simulposts are out of chronological order.
Well, this place and the Aroma Cafe are the two busiest places on site. This must prove that substantive conversation is still more highly valued than unrelieved hugging. Anybody hugs me, I'll jab them hard where the sun don't shine.
Ampton? Ampton!

Here! Here! Incidentally, when you invited me over here, and told me all that stuff about Mindspring (still laughing ) and Ferrari, I thought it was going to be more of that same sort of thing. I'm so glad to find someplace where people just relax and talk like normal people (although normal people who keep sloths as pets )... you'll never be rid of me now.
It's the same kind of thing I was going for when I set up the FFFF... although it is themed normal talk, and after a while, people tend to get a little bored of the theme. Luckily, I don't.

Well, this is a classic salon. We don't suit everybody, as Mr. Beeblebrix's exit demonstrated, but it's nice to have a gathering of polymaths who are willing to treat most topics, like suits, perfectly seriously.
Speaking of Mindspring, GB, don't let her get a hold of a donut without supervision. A carbo-loaded sloth is an amazing sight. I better get her some breakfast actually. *heads for kitchen*
Ah, there you are. Ampton, would you fetch in today's moebius donuts, then find Garius and his special duct tape? Off you go.
*gets out greens for Mindspring*
Tea anyone, or OJ?

Phil Posted Jun 5, 2000
I think the simulposts being out of chronological order thing is due to the fact the site (currently) tries threading all forums. This is really annoying when trying to follow a conversation and someone replies to a post in the middle.
Hello GB good to see you around. As Lil says the talk can be rather eclectic in here but it's always interesting.

*shifts position suddenly and Mindspring slides to the floor looking surprised*

Hello Lil.
I've decided togo for some apple juice instead of OJ today. Want some?

Not just now, thanks. I'm gonna just lie here and drift a bit.

What happened to your (_____________________) bit ? I don't frequent the aroma cafè so I tend to not understand those things

*walks in, gets some tea*
Greetings all, I will be in and out all day. How are things with everyone?

Phil Posted Jun 5, 2000
Hi Sporky. I decided to change my (____) bit as I'm now advertising some photos I took at the london meet on the page given. I was advertising the tour I'm running before and I'm sure I'll come up with something else before long. It's actually nothing to do with the cafe. I don't know why Lil has changed hers.

Hi Lil, fantastic gallery you've got here! Great idea.
I'm into computer art myself, especially 3D stuff... I'm about to revamp my website to make it more arty. If you like you could take a look at the current art section at http://www.ianferguson.co.uk/art
regarding (____) ads, I think it ought to be incorporated somehow into H2G2, maybe in the World of H2G2... an ads page? Hmm...

Hello folks. Just dropping in quickly after reading the backlog. Now I'm off to read the Cafe backlog. Wish me luck.

Hey Gargleblaster, can you tell us when you next move the FFFF thread please? The sensible conversation had gone over my head, so that's why I've been quiet. I popped back recently but thread 8 was a lilttle big, so if you tell me when the new thread's up I'll see if I can contribute sensible

*waking* What was that noise? Sounded like one of those metal crickets.
Well, about my (________), I just decided to be a pointer instead of a variable name for a while.
Hi Peregrin, welcome to my salon! I'm glad you like the art and I'll be off to your site as soon as the web gets a bit snappier. Did you ever go to badart.com?
Well! I'm beginning to feel MUCH better. *goes to kitchen* Ah, Ampton's been in while I was gone, and brought the donuts. I hope he finds Garius soon. Anybody want tea?
I wonder what became of that Ozzie bloke, Ado? He was going to rejoin us after a 3-dasy trip home.

I hope you also contribute grammatical.
There's fresh pies in the fridge if you want one.
*brings in tea and donuts*
If y'all get a chance, everyone, look at the journal entry Gargleblaster wrote today about the LA Humane Society. Amazing!

Just read GB's journal entry. Quite how these kind of people are allowed to make comments like this is amazing. At least the Duke of Edinburgh (Phil the Greek) has the excuse that he dosn't have any real power!
