PR Discussion: How comprehensive should an entry be

That's true, but certain Scouts do have their favourite authors, and I have read a Scout state they will not read certain author's entries because of previous problems.

It's difficult to not let paranoia creep into the blood, when Scouts are told to pick all that are ready, and you have four "ready" and not one gets picked.

This looks like the exception that proves the rule!

GB, whenever an Entry is recommended, it won't be dealt with (i.e. accepted or not) until the Italics come into work, so anything which a Scout may do at the weekend must wait until Monday (or if it happens at night until the next morning).

Plus of course we aren't allowed to say what is going on in Scoutlandsmiley - winkeyeso you may feel frustrated (and I can see from a few threads you have been) but I'm afraid there's nothing anyone can do at the time to reassure you that you just need to smiley - zen

I hope this helps while you await the rest of your Entries being picked smiley - ok

At the moment I can see at least 4 entries in PR which I think should be picked before any others, and they've been waiting a couple of weeks - but that's just my opinion.

None of my entries have waited long in PR, hopefully because they're good, but possibly because I take the time to comment in PR - and I have no "clout" I am not a Scout, Sub-Ed, Ace, or anything else - just a researcher, who believes in the Guide.

I can't really judge here, I'm still relatively new to PR , but I don't have the impression that this 'clout' thing is true, I haven't seen any evidence of this smiley - smiley

I must admit that when I got the mail about my Postcrossing entry, my first thought was "yaaaay" but then I thought "oh my, there are others that are waiting to be picked.

But the system seems to work, and the eds are happy with it, so what to do?

there's nothing you could do Sho, and I think it's good as it is. Some entries get more attention than others because they hit a nerve or whatever - we're all just human, with our likes and dislikes or things in between smiley - smiley

well, I'm guessing (hoping?) that I've put just about "pick ready" entries in PR.

To be honest, I look through the older PR stuff regularly, and some of it needs to be moved to WW or FM.

But that's just my opinion.

It's hard to tell for me. especially after all of the discussions here, whether, or not to smiley - boing your entry. I decided against doing so - now I'm not sure if it doesn't look deserted smiley - erm

I still have 2 in there...but they're pretty ready so I'm just leaving them.

When can we expect a new one from you, btw? smiley - smiley

The green sauce is still in PR. I thought about something , but I'm not sure, seems I pick topics of no interest for others, so why bother smiley - smiley

I'm struggling to find a topic for another entry.

I looked in FM but I really don't like any of those so I'll just have to wait for inspiration to strike.

There is always the town where I live, I suppose. That will take 2 lines...
