Okay, I'm back. I've rewritten bits of this to include content from A291412, which I hope it can replace.

Despite previously claiming I couldn't think of anything to add, I have expanded a few of the sections, mainly with footnotes.

Hi Bagpuss. Just a couple of minor points, and then this will be ready for the Front Page.

This sentence isn't quite right:

"If you shudder at the thought of downloading without a little preparation of what you'll get"

I don't think you mean "preparation".

1980's --> 1980s

"for putting in large drops or poisonous plants almost every screen" -- move the "in" to before "almost".

"without any of those little gate thingies that stops your toddler" -- change "stops" to "stop"

Corrections being made. I'm wondering how I missed most of them. That's why it's good to have someone else look over your work.

The only 1980's I can find is "1980's Mystery House", which is right as it stands, meaning the game was released in 1980.

I just had a quick look through and made the odd change (changed 'large drops' to 'precarious precipices' for its alliterative allure). I'm happy for the article to be submitted as it is, and no-one else has commented in a while.

OK, I've done the update, and requested a Front Page promotion for it. I don't know when they'll organise that since, they've probably already gone on holidays, but you'll get your moment of glory soon.

I'm curious - it seems the update process doesn't involve a Sub-Ed, which is fine for minor changes, but as much of this article is original I wonder if it would have been better off being treated as a new entry.

The update process puts more of the onus on the author to get it right, because the Updater (that's me) won't put it through until it is exactly right.
