I try to talk to her as much as possible - even if I'm talking rubbish. Aparently they learn the sounds of the language from an early age and you are supposed to encourage that by avoiding baby speak. She turns her head towards me when I speak now

Oooh Yes! They're lovely
They only seem to come out around Christmas, but we are now fast heading into honey roast cashew season in the shops
