I've always thought Pride events were a little pathetic ('Ooh, look at us, we're gay!') but I was in Trafalgar Square yesterday and my mind has been completely changed. It was blinkin' fantastic, and some of the speakers quite inspirational (apart from the shouty 'Margarita Pracatan' clone from Venezuala who wouldn't shut up.)
And Sir (dame?) Ian McKellan is my hero!

Good that it was mentioned by Channel 4.
Interesting, btw, that the BBC ignored it 100% and amde no mention of the event anywhere in its output.

There was very little coverage anywhere. A Google on Sunday produced the Europride site and not much else. I was a little disappointed, but the BBC weren't alone in their ignorance.

I was chatting on the phone the day before europride to a defrocked Latvian priest who was going to be dancing on the stage.
Only gay in the village? He reckoned he was the only (out) gay in the country!
Glad you had fun babes.
