Hmmm...
Dear Aunty...
A little while back... me wrote some stuff in a forum... me didn't realise that it was only supposed to be used by certain researchers... they stopped posting in it... and me thinks me ruined it for them... me is now going through the process of thanking all those that wrote in my wedding card here on h2g2... and whilst me was doing that... me came across some postings written by the the researchers in question... They wrote nothing bad... but me sad cause me caused harm without knowing... me hadn't a clue when me posted that it was not for all of h2g2 to enjoy...
What is me to do???
Greebo

Start a new thread where we can walk through the mountains and valleys, along the river and maybe even pass a few pubs along the way.I mean this walk, although it may start where you are, pass through africa and australia and america and canada may well even include parts of england and europe.Because its a virtual walk noone will get tired, except when they want to,and then we can picnic or stop in one of those inns i mentioned. When you get started you can invite all of those stuffy people that you think you may of offended and put your mind to rest.
PS....you must invite me and everyone else as well though, especially Aunty.

my dearest Greebo, i am sorry to hear that a post by you caused a forum to go silent, this is their losss (trust me ).....you mentioned that you didn't realize the forum was not meant for all of h2g2....this is wrong my dear, anything in h2g2 is public and anyone who attempts to say or do anything here that they do not intend to be public will be dissapointed....that is what emails are for ....please do not worry yourself over this, i know that you meant no harm and it was not your fault.....the researchers in this forum should of been wise enough to know that what they were posting would be seen by everyone and possibly responded to......

I don't know how to start a new thread for our walk. Perhaps someone will be kind enough to start one so we can all enjoy the countryside and nature. (and the pubs). Noname, is it ok if my dogs join us too? They love long walks and they would like to meet your eight dogs.

I'd love to join you on the walk, but I'm still on crutches ---- wait a minute ---- this is h2g2 - here I can walk, and run, and jump, and dance, and even drive my moped!!! I can join you!!! In real life, I'm doing better, taking a few independent steps. I can even manage the shower alone, starting today!! Showering with a friend has taken on a whole new meaning around here
