h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Thank Pasht I found this place, I had to leave the swutting thing in orbit for want of a place to park it. Then my cat, Palbert, the once fat cat, said to me 'D'ya know they have a Spaceport here?'

'Really?' sez I.

'O,yes,' she says 'Hanger space for rent and everything.'

So I thought I'd pop in and have a word. I'm looking for a hanger to take a Subramaniam & Lyrid type 42 singleship, so it doesn't need to be too big. The drive is certified cold so radiation isn't a problem, although looking around here I see you have an excellent facility; I'll bet all of your hangers are Shielded.

The ship does have some ...ummm...special modifications...I need to know that the vessel will be secure. The special systems were installed by the Guild of Assassins Imperial, I wouldn't want anyone straying into the security net and getting hurt.

Also my cat will need full independent accesss; can you help me out? What are your rates? I can pay in any freely exchangable currency, including local. (Although it would take a couple of days to get ningies, I don't carry them).

Can I have a hangar for my Starburst 3.1 Unijet, please? Also, I hear you have a vacancy for a Chief Assistant Ensign, trainee, 2nd class, and I'd like to apply for the post. I have a reference here from my Space Invaders instructor back on Terra, Sol system - he says I'd be a great hit here, or anywhere except Earth navy (don't know why he said that). I passed my Solo Space Navigation Exam three months ago, and my ship doesn't have too many dents on it yet. Maybe I should practice a little in the hologram suite.

I'm not dead... Just... Somewhere else... I might be here a bit more from now on, but then again, I might not... If there still is some activity here I'd appreciate if someone'd take care of hangars and such if I don't come by for a while... And I wouldn't mind if someone even took over as the boss here if anyone's interested... Yowuzupman, can I ask for your help on this if anyone wishes to get this place running again?

As for the hangars, of course you can get them:
Veers Revett, you've got hangar number 23
Sparrowhawk gets number 25
and Berek number 26.

Oh, and Berek, I almost missed your job application. Of course you can have the post.

I'll help as best I can (assign hangers and such) I'll notify you of anychanges so all you'll hafta do is punch it in!
