Great to see Footballers are keeping up the high behavior standards we have come to expect.

It's funny, the only thing I thought or felt or was surprised at reading the George Best story was "Hang on, I know Staines Police station".

I used to drive the night bus for the Student Union at University, and it was always quite important to know where the local plod hung out in case any of my passengers decided to cut up rough...

But as a flip-side; here is one person who the filth really ought to leave alone now.

For once I have sympathy with Bowyer on that one. I tihnk it is ridiculous for babylon to get involved with "sporting" incidents when the people involved have not made a complaint. This clearly is for political purposes and will make things difficult for professional sport if it sets a precedent.

Look at Rugby, people take pops at others all the time, and get rightly sin binned for it. Are they goign to be arrested now at the end of the game?

What about boxers? Will they be done for aggravated assault and battery?

This is IMHO patently ridiculous, the filth should let sports police them selves in theis respect.

Apart from anything else, what court would hand out a £70,000 fine ?

Of course you could argue that if I took a pop at someone at work I would be subject to instant dismissal - no appeal.

But if your employer declined to sack yuo, and the other guy didn't press charges and accepted your apology. You would not expect to be dragged off to court all the same would you?

If I worked for a company that allowed another employee to take a swing at members of staff, I'd leave.

But its all part of the fantasy world that is football nowadays.

I want £80,000 a week - smiley - doh and people agree to it !

Time to introduce a wage ceiling again.

I want to be able to take a swing at other employees, in front of witnesses. smiley - ok

I'm a fan and I think its utter madness.
