That is a very good point pedro.

I have read that the new staduims are much more "family freidnly". Perhaps that is the idea.

Everton moving to a new stadium wouldn't make me more liekly to go, a reduction in ticket prices would.

My football attendance this season:

Goodison: Everton v Man U, Sunderland, Southampton, Bolton, Blackburn, Crystal Palace

Reebok Stadium: Bolton v Everton

Kingston Park, Newcastle: Newcastle Reserves v Everton Reserves

Cantilever Park, Warrington: Warrington Town v Spalding, Everton under-18s.

Tynecastle: Hearts v Celtic

JJB Stadium: Wigan v Ipswich

Victoria Park: Hartlepool v Bradford

Deva Stadium: Chester v Lincoln

Halton Stadium, Widnes: Runcorn v Droylesden

Haig Avenue, Southport: Runcorn v Lancaster

Giant Axe, Lancaster: Lancaster v Redditch, Morecambe, Gainsborough, Nuneaton.

Halliwell Jones Stadium, Warrington: Norway Ladies v Germany, France (There's only one Bente Nordby by the way)

So, I've been to 22 matches this season, but only six at Goodison, and only nine featuring Everton teams.

Although I am quite proud that even though James Vaughan has only played twice for the Evrton first team, I saw him four times last season, at four different stadia.

As usual Egon, you fall outside the scope of the survey. smiley - cheers

Coventry has always been described as a 'family' club, and there are quite a few women and children in the stadium already....

We shall see.

Hey 6, I just wanted to know why you're an Argyle fan if you've never lived in Plymouth? I'm from Plymouth and like FB haven't been to two many games this season. The new facilities are a vast improvement though, especially the away end. That must have one of worse areas for away supporters to stand in the country it was all-standing and totally exposed to the elements.

renovating a stadium can bring up attendance simply by making the experience better. to go back to the case of gerland, crowds started getting bigger (NB: before the results on the field) even though the stadium became 9000 seats SMALLER.

you can see the same in baseball in america; attractive downtown "made for baseball" parks fill up their 40,000 seats regularly, whereas the old 70,000 seat multipurpose monstrosities they planted out on freeway intersections in the 60's and 70's were always empty.
