I'm still stuck in the middle of the biography of "Mao" by the ironically named Phillip Short and very dreary and depressing it is too. Thankfully I have the occaisional dip into "Laugh without prejudice" by Pat Ingoldsby to keep me on the amused side of completely mad. I recommend the latter, but not the former.

That Kay Turner book on women's altars...is it good? I am currently reading The Other Bible, and a couple of Schussler-Fiorenza's books. Way too intellectual, but still.

The Last book I read was "On The Road" by Jack Kerouac.
That book changed my life. Low-life flannel clad hippy to striving inttelectual poet. Got to work on my spelling I suppose.
