I was chatting about Brecht here the other day, i'm sure i was. I can't find the conversation now though.
But i've just started reading "The Life and Lies of Bertold Brecht".
The premise seems to be that he didn't write any of his stuff! Apparently his plays were written by his various girlfriends. Well it doesn't stop them being bloody great plays / poems. I kind of like the mystery of it, and i really like the idea that it could be women behind these great plays. And the idea that his womanising was a way of maintaining his literary front. I find it funny. I'm a bit dubious though i must admit.
Has anyone else read it. Has it allready been discredited and I shouldn't waste my time.
Does anyone look in the Book Nook anymore?
