h2g2 doesn't have a realtime chat room, but people talk in these forums instead (which obviously you've already figured out how to use). We do however have a special page for miscellaneous chatter - <./>MiscChat</.>. If you want to ask the whole community a question for discussion you may also want to look in <./>Askh2g2</.>.

Hello again, discodiva15. 
You should be able to see a list of your most recently updated conversations on your personal space page. They are sorted by the time of your last post or the last time someone replied. So it should be easy to see what's new. One of your journal entries already has several replies. You also get to see any new messages people have left you - as I did earlier today.
