A Conversation for The Café
The Colors

And we waved our little hands
Through the ash and cinder
And eyes glistening we watched the flaming threaded cancer
The sphere we stood on would regain its beauty once again
Because these colors would not remain
Upon the eyes of men
"It stands for Liberty!"
They had said
Its what we'd all been told
Among the Foolish and the Dead
A smoldering blindfold

Ha! Ha! Ha! (sorry I'm a little giddy The poem was inspired by a Dave Mattews song (no I'm not promoting him or anything to do with his band) about everyone being alike but fear keeping us apart and stuff. So no, people Aren't being burned if anyone was mislead.

When I said "anyone" I meant "anyone who read it and didn't post anything"... I guess. That is, if anyone else DID read it and therefore this would be pertaining to them. OK? So long and thanks for liking it.
