Asteroid Lil - Offstage Presence

I used up all my purple prose on the previous thread heading, and haven't built my hit points back up, so tonight I'll just tell you what you already know, that this is the Aroma Cafe, and refer you to the first post of yesterday's thread if you need a refresher course.

Babel, how are we going to get you up to speed on the campaign... I say, you ought to join the OTD list! It gives you the chance to be in touch with many of us without incurring online expenses. You'll find details on my home page. Look for the driftwood. Redbeard, you know about the OTD list, don't you? How about you DD? (Is he still here?) *peers into gloom*

Yes, Lil, I've heard about OTB (was also referred to as off-tropic drift on your page, btw smiley - tongueout), but haven't gotten around to it.

The Shakespeare Festival opened a week ago, B-17.. rave reviews and the new theatre is incredible! We're 96% sold out for the entire run already, and we've just added an extra week to the run (this with a larger capacity new theatre).

I know I was boring you guys about working on the Program Guide smiley - smiley, but it came out very well. If you'd like, email me your snail mail address and I'll send you a free one (60 pages, tons of photos, etc.). Same goes for Irv, who might enjoy seeing it.

Ain't gonna do it from here, so I shall enroll from chez moi in about 4 hours or so. It will be there for your breakfast perusal. smiley - smiley
That way I can stay involved, as this one week on, three weeks off might be more frequent than not.

Lil's ISP is not working at the moment due to some cable being cut somewhere. They haven't given a time for the fix, so she doesn't know when she will be back. She can't access her email or get to h2g2. She sends her regrets.

Poor Lil, there's nothing worse than being cut off unvoluntarily.

I have now booked a room at the Stuart Hotel, South Kensington,
Arrival 18th of July.

Bumblebee, we went the hotel route, stayed @ The Forum Hotel, 1 block from Gloucester Rd station. It's one of the Intercontinental Hotels, which are running some pretty good deals this summer. We got room and English breakfast for £125/nite.

There are several web sites for booking B&B's in the London area. Here's one that looks interesting: http://www.londonbb.com/

Bad news about Lil's ISP. I sure hope it doesn't last long. She'll be a basket case if she's kept out for more than a few hours.
