Jr...as for navigating the posts quicker, try pulling up this page, just the way you have been, but instead of clicking the "view newer posts" button, go up to the part of the screen where you have the bar that has the web address, and right behind the last number at the end of it, without adding a space, type in show=1000, and hit enter, and see how that does, maybe.

Hi jrl -- what Odradek suggested works, but what the site wizard Jim Lynn is recommending is to add &latest=1 to the URL. And that only works if you're right on top of the backlog.

Odradek, words fail me. Pandora could take lessons from you. So, your mug?

jrl, mugs are something regulars have. With continued patronage, you too will become a regular. Odradek has been a loyal customer, god help us, and so I'm asking her to describe her mug so that I can paint it and put it on the shelf with the others. Which reminds me, I can't remember whether Babel-17 has described his mug to me yet.

Lil, my mug's sort of tall and cylindrical and elongated and thin -- one of those insulated travel beakers, you know, because with my klutz's spatial skills, l need as spill-proof a mug as l can muster. lt's dull silver, made of brushed stainless steel, tapering at the bottom -- you've probably seen them. They have black lids.
Mine, however, has, as l think my behaviour over the past twenty four hours warrants, a red anarchy symbol scrawled on one side. The classic capital A with the circle around it, you know. A gift to me from an old Abbie-Hoffman-wannabe friend of mine, fellow comrade in the Chalk Army back during the days of the Great Sophomore Year Communist Uprising.
Ahh, memories.

l believe he cut off all his hair, dropped out of college and became a heroin addict. Great bass player, though.
And did he ever look fabulous in a short black dress and fishnets. l was always rather jealous...
