What's the voting system going to be?

Well? First past the post? Proportional representation? Are badgers allowed to vote? What's to stop me from voting twice? Are there any ground rules at all?
To me, this election looks more crooked than Florida in 2000.

Each voter will put all the candidates into an order of preference.
After each round the candidate with the lowest number of votes is disqualified, those votes are transferred to each voter's next preferred candidate.
The first to get more than 50% of the vote share will be declared the winner.
Voting will commence sometime in October for one week to a specially created email address.
The email will have to contain your username, U number and your voting order of preference.
Duplicate emails from the same person will be deleted.
Duplicate accounts run by the same person, although they run the risk of not being detected, will be frowned upon and deleted.
The returning officer's decision is final.

Ooh a PR election. I always suspected I might have won the first Prze election is it had been carries out under STV.

If you don't get on with finding yourself another vp candidate you won't even get the chance. The clock's ticking!

The Ozark Party thanks Croz for these lucid and well-written rules for voting.

Indeed thank you. It's useful to know how the voting will take place um. Seek voters more effectively.

On reflection, the Ozark Party would like to request a simple explanation of why this voting will be preference based. Just a simple explanation No complaint or anything... Wouldn't complain to the strong, powerful, handsome Returning Officer.

'After each round the candidate with the lowest number of votes is disqualified, those votes are transferred to each voter's next preferred candidate.'
Doesn't this mean that someone *nobody* wants to win could win?

Speaking for myself, I agree with roymondo.
It's excessively complicated and, I think undemocratic in some ways. If everybody votes for 'None of the Above' because, hey, if their candidate wins, they don't want anyone else to (a laudable choice) then someone without any support might win. And, as the sheep say, that would be baaah-d.
The last election was won by Plurality, too. I just don't understand this.

Actually, it's more democratic than a first past the post system. If people don't want to vote for a second candidate then they don't have to, but you have the option.

I would prefer a runnoff to this system. Like an actual election.

It's probably more Democratic in a serious, RL election where there are real issues, I'll admit.
But in a campaign where some of the candidates are literally sheep, it seems a bit overcomplicated, with the definite possibility of electing someone with no support.
As I said, I'm speaking for myself though My views do not necessarily reflect those of the Ozark Party.
