That's it. "Mad Dog". That was the nickname I couldn't remember. My naive buddy picked up a bottle at a 7-11 in Oregon when we went camping down there. I didn't notice, but he must have got some odd stares from the other folks in the store, because he's otherwise pretty clean-cut.

Not overly familiar with it myself - but certainly recall making its acquaintance during my younger and more reckless student days. It was like drinking toilet cleaner, if I recall?

More like drinking mouthwash, but without the minty freshness.

You know, they changed h2g2 so that you only see twenty or so messages in a forum at one time and they did this so you wouldn't have to download hundreds of messages just so you could read one new one.

So WHY do they take you to the twenty OLDEST messages? You have to click "see newer posts" over and over until you get to the new posts. That's retarded.

Isn't it just! I've been vtaking a peek at the comments/feedback pages about the new changes, and I don't think anyone likes this forum set-up. I can't imagine what tptb were thinking when they wrote that one - surely 99% of users would want to see the newest posts first (perhaps a touch of an exageration - but you get my drift).

It's absolutely frustrating if, like me, you used to open all new replies in a mass of new windows, let tham all load up then go off line and read them without racking up the enormo phone bill. Now I have to go through each blinking step to get to the newest stuff... it's driving me mad. Maybe it will encourage us to keep fora short and move elsewhere as soon as we hit 20 (or whatever it is) entries. Boy, wouldn't that be confusing!

It should be something that you can change in your preferences, whether you want to see all posts in a forum, or just twenty at a time.

If the latter is selected, it should always go to the last twenty posts, not the first.
