Does anyone grok Jubal Harsaw's law ?? "Daughters can spend ten percent more than a man can make in any usual occupation"

Oh yes!
Jubal was a clever old grouch, eh?
As I have 2 daughters, I wonder if he was aware that the percentage increases ten-fold when they combine forces.

Speaking as a daughter, I know that this is complete bollocks (British slang for balls, if you're not British). I never had much in the way of pocket money, and requests for more were greeted with a firm refusal. From 16 onwards I was 'gainfully employed' and therefore expected to pay for my needs/wants out of my own pocket (as well as paying Mum a contribution towards the house-keeping costs).

Spooky - Sounds like our parents went to the same school. I worked part time since I was 13, and paid digs to my Mum, (Housekeeping & Board) up until I got my own flat. I think we would have been a welcome addition to Harshaw's nest - his taxes were always due.
