I am now back up to speed with everything! I've actually seen a spoiler for the last two episoides, they sound class already.

Hmmm... I've been thinking along those lines myself.
It's kinda like in ancient greek plays, if they couldn't come up with a well rounded ending, they'd bring the gods in and they'd sort it out... well, now we are following the gods, as they go from one bizzare situation to the next.
I actually wrote a fanfic after the first few episodes in which the Doctor and Rose were thought of as messengers from the gods, when was the first reference?
Please note: I haven't seen Saturday's episode yet, we videoed it.

Someone called the Doctor a 'Lonely God'. i think it was..New earth. I know the lonely angel bit is from girl in the fireplace.
