h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I was 50 when Hootoo was born. I'm a little older now, and I don't know if I'm any wiser, but it's been entertaining and edifying.

Today's my 25th anniversary of joining h2g2 - Peregrin made me do it.

I ain't bothered about "Hootoo" as such, or any other "social media" sites..

BUT! I've made many friends HERE! Some met, unfortunately many not.. Due to world distance and "lack of cash"

Actually! I am bothered about Hootoo!
I want it to be able to return to it's "past" "100% running"

Arriving fashionably late to the thread, congratulations h2g2! I've been here since October 1999, lurking for a few weeks before actually signing up in December, and then not activating my page until January 2000.

Douglas launches h2g2 at around the 7:30 mark, the men in white lab coats are behind him. They return to DNA at 25:55, by which time the server has crashed, as Jim Lynn explained, but Peta's pre-loaded comment about med students is there.

Today is my 25th anniversary here. I was awaiting the release of Starship Titanic and signed up for updates regarding the game and I received a strange email from The Digital Village folks inviting me here. I'm not quite sure if I created my account that day, or a few days later when I posted a comment on the entry on Traffic Jams.
Anyways, according to my user number, I officially joined on 9.9.1999 so that works for me.
