Icy - did you mean that to sound as unbelievably rude and as dismissive as it does? I just want to ask whether that was intentional or unintentional.

Mine arrived yesterday and it looks great.

There's a great selection of really good entries, and the illustrations are very good quality.

Thank you Z, the team worked hard on it and its a good thing I think to try and give articles that people worked hard on another outlet.

Could you tell me: on the back page, does it say where yours was printed? The ones that arrived in this neck of the woods say 'Delaware'. (Yes, FWR, Delaware.) We might get unique collectibles out of this...

And I didn't mean to diss the musical conversation - just to request a change of venue. I'll happily post Youtube links all night.

Good grief, no it wasn't intended to be rude!

I was trying to get the conversation back on track after my unintentional interlude (I somehow didn't register at the time that this was an announcement thread), but at the same time acknowledging the futility of attempting to keep topic drift at bay.

I actually know very little about the book, otherwise I'd be extolling its virtues in more detail.

By all means remove that post (and the others) if out of context.

Thanks for that Icy - appreciate the response. I know how hard the team worked and it was nice to see 42 articles being drawn together like that. I don't think it will make anybody rich but if this remotely works doing these kind of "themed" books would be a nice way to create a whole new space for the best articles we've got.

I should understand about topic drift by now! We are also experimenting with the YouTube links.

The social media team has been tweeting and posting away and when I saw the stats last Sunday it was quite encouraging. Its always interesting too to see that "organic" search is still our biggest source of traffic and how the most random things pop up!

What minorvogonpoet said a while back. As a regular reader of graphic novels, I can tell you that £20-odd is not a hefty price for a fully illustrated book these days. I have put it on my Amazon wishlist, and am currently considering which of my relatives would be the most suitable recipient of it as a Christmas present.

Gnomon - time to move on

Is there a list anywhere of which 42 articles were chosen, or do we have to buy the book to find out?

Gnomon, if you want to know if your name's in there, you'll be pleasantly surprised. smiley - winkeye

I'm not sure if it's possible, but I'll check with the team to see if we can add the Table of Contents to the Amazon page. smiley - smiley It's a good suggestion, thanks!

There's a place on Amazon where the publisher can provide extra information about the product. Alternatively, you could just review the book and provide a list of contents in the review.

There's an Amazon bookstore near me. The books on display in the window have statistics as to how many readers/customers gave them top ratings.
