I'm currently in the process of writing an application for a very interesting job.

But every time I think I'm ready to send it off, they e-mail me to say they've changed the requirements.

Every single time, it's some weird, obscure bit of experience they want. They seem to be tailoring it to a particular candidate.

What they probably don't realise is that they're tailoring it to me. Every time, I go "aaaaand - checkmark!"

The only requirement I don't entirely meet is published research - but h2g2 counts, right?

I think h2g2 counts - unless it has to be print, or an academic journal.

So far, they've changed it twice, maybe because they were getting too many applicants. It's now weirdly specific!

Send your application and tell them "let me know when you have changed the requirements enough to meet mine 100%"

This one is in Northern Ireland. And the last requirement added was that you have to have written a Master's thesis/dissertation on a historical building in Northern Ireland. So that really narrows the pool!

Strange place to write it. I'd have used a notepad, or maybe a computer.

It takes graffiti to a whole new level, probably a bit awkward to submit to the instructor.
