(nim pours hot water on the mixed tea in the kettle and puts it on the samowar. Then she takes one of the mellons in the pool and starts cutting it open, placing the juicy deep red pieces in a crytal bowl, ready for the guests)

Hello? May I come in and have some tea?
Gosh this place is beautiful. Well done, nim!

Hi Nim,
What a beautiful place you have here. I'm looking forward to trying some of the local delicacies.
In the meantime thanks for the and fruit.

Thanks.
I've been mixing different periods because I couldn't decide on just one. there is still a riverside garden to come and an ancient rosegarden (complete with nightingale) for the romantics
this afternoon I'm going to start working on a guide entry called "Drinking Tea in Iran" which will include all the smaller stuff I won't put up here.
(bustles around, pouring tea and offering dates and other sweet stuff)

Good afternoon! Well done Nim, a beautiful place.

*the sound of sandals scuffing along the path is heard well before Zax's shadow falls on the entry. The gate wiggles, jiggles, then is pushed open with one hip, followed presently by an elbow... with a shuffle and a hop, the rest of Zax manages to work past the gate. She turns, revealing the cause of the difficulty- under one arm is tucked a rolled cloth, and nestled in the crook of the other is what appears to be a blue and green basketball.*
Hi, Nim! Hi all! i made it! did i get here before closing? i was hoping to get a cup of tea to settle the nerves before heading back to heaven for a nap...
*directs a warm, yet vague smile around the gathered group, absently wondering if it's customary to take one's shandals off in a teahouse... or not... or if the sum of two halves always equals a whole... or if--*
OH! er... almost forgot!
*sets the globe on a ledge near nim*
This is for you! It's the new "mini-world"... just a little gadget ol' Slarti's been working on. He doesn't have all the kinks worked out yet, but should be safe enough... assuming it takes a while for any of the lifeforms to develop technology! The oceans were seeded with whale-sized tuna and other fishie snacks just for you... he said they'll be nibbly size in about a week!
*pauses, falling into what could either be gentle reverie-- or senility... ...begins to wonder just how fine a line lies between the two...*
*...realizes the other arm is getting tired....*
OH, Right! and this is for the Teahouse. Guaranteed to unroll to reveal the most beautiful scene your heart could desire! ...er... i kept the receipt just in case...
*eyes the melon, trying not to drool*
It sure is beautiful in here!

you only take the shoes off if you are sitting on a carpet, that is in one of the niches.
(serves , sweets and cut melons)
(starts searching for a place for the tapestry)
BTW, you can also stretch out in one of the niches and have a nap there.

*smiling thankfully*
a nap sounds perfect... i'll just be over there in that niche to the right... there seem to be plenty of cushions in there.
*sipping tea*
mm. just perfect. I'll just be over nibbling my melon.
*wandering off to get comfortable*

Good job I'm barefoot!
Any chance of a fresh brew, nim?
Going on a long journey tomorrow, far away from my kettle but at least I'll be close to Serephina's kettle!
How you doin', Zax? Long time...

*smiles brightly and waves*
how've ya been, GB?
*offers to share the plate of melon*
seems like a few of us are coming back from our extended lunches.
nim, these cushions are perfect- not too hard, not too soft. I haven't napped that well since the time on cloud 9 when i-- er.. that is to say... yes, yes very comfy!
*sips her amber tea thoughtfully*
