Am I being paranoid?
MMF - Keeper of Mustelids, with added P.M.A., is now in a relationship. Posted Dec 1, 2007
Hi Mate... Know how you are feeling. As you know I've had that feeling since April. Some days Some days and some absolutley At least you are up for posting!!!
Not much I can add to the above except good... bad...
Fresh air and walking help me and to misquote a certain mate, 'FFS pick up that instrument!'
Can always meet up for a Jaw if you fancy it... You helped me, and I'd be only too pleased to reciprocate.
Must admit my just said 'Pills or chat?' which didn't exactly fill me with confidence. Having had both in the past, I would suggest taking the Counselling offer if the Counsellor is any good... I, personally, would not take the pill option...
and, shades of Roswell... 'You are not alone!'

MMF: you spotted it in me months ago mate. A long time before I did. I believe we were in the Shakespeare's Head at the time and you pointed out that the bouncy Dave wasn't actually the whole Dave.
FFS I would love to pick up that ing instrument but you know how it is!
Speaking of which, one thing that would cheer me up is seeing you play some time!

So you noticed!!!
>>one thing that would cheer me up is seeing you play some time!<<
You haven't heard me play!
I'll let you know the next time I'm playing close to London!
All and must be left outside though!

Been there too mate I'd also take the counselling option if it's offered to you. The one I had was excellent and really helped me understand why I felt the way I did and how to try and combat things. He also taught me some good relaxation exercises. And if all else fails, go for a long walk or have a good swear

I'm not sure counselling would help as I already know what's causing this:
* My previously interesting job recently became a mind numbing nonsense
* I'm feeling quite isolated in this 'ere flat on my tod
* My income barely covers my living expenses
* I think I'm a bit broody
* I'm 36, which is the wrong side of 30, and haven't achieved anything
* I am, above all else, bloody lonely. I've the best friends one could hope for (and spending an afternoon/evening/night in a pub with Liftliker & 2legs a couple of weeks back reminded me of that) but none of them are here.
* I'm a really rather good musician that should have done something with it when I was younger
You see? I already know where the problems lie, I'm just not much good at dealing with them.

That's what counselling is supposed to help with, when its done well.

I'd best have a word with my GP then, preferably when I'm not the last patient, it's knocking on for 19.00 and he blatantly wants to go home.
I didn't think I was affected by SAD but I just looked towards the window and it's dark. That's saddened me.

Definitely go have a chat with the doc. And the weather, impending C-word plus recent birthday are all understandable factors.
I'm still on St Johns Wort - I find it helps to even out the highs and lows.
Could you bear a scented candle, or is that a bit girly? Neroli and bergamont are uplifting.

Roy, I've been there and with the help of a remarkably good doctor and some pills I'm no longer there. The pills are also a thing of the past now that I have my life back.
It felt very strange indeed, admitting that I had a problem and needed medical help, but I'm glad I finally did.
I wish you well. Remember, even this sort of thing will pass...

Are you being paranoid?
No - they are out to get you.
......... But you're not going to let them get you down now are you.
Get yourself to the GP and sorted out first thing Monday morning - or else I'll have to go back to London and you wouldn't want that.

She's right, we are out to get you. You're going down.
