She was glad to hear from me, and I was glad to speak to her, but it's always a bit odd as I didn't know her when Daniel was alive: the first time I met her was at the funeral.

That is a sad story from whichever angle you view it mate, and like you said, just such a waste.
You've been braver than most would have been by contacting his mum, i'm sure she was very comforted to learn he had a few friends who cared as much as you.

Unfortunately most of his 'friends' were trossers (as you can gather from the article). Those of us that were a tad more genuine were colleagues that grew to like him as he started to like himself. Nadgers, it's all a bit tragic.

Amazing! It's taking a bit of adjustment, with the loudness & the extra string but there's some lovely piano noises to be had from that low B!
Need a longer strap though. You know me, I'm a low-slung kinda guy. It feels like a sideboard on my chest, and I fear I look like a folk singing Mark King wannabe. Not goodly!!
