That's better! smiley - ok

You should try running this through a spelling checker as there are a number of problems.

You'll have to check the names of all the towns etc yourself, as neither I nor the spelling checker will know whether place names like Jupitar and Sugerloaf are spelled correctly.

Tallahassee, Jupiter, and Sugarloaf have been corrected. I also caught where I had left a c out of except and an h in Topography.
If this ever goes to an editor he can use a spell checker on it.

Wel done! smiley - ok

Here are few more minor corrections:

Add a comma after "to any hurricane passing through".

Remove the apostrophe from "it's highest points".

NW of the Peninsula it is home to --> NW of the Peninsula. It is home to

Add a space after "shrimp boats,"

the City of Tampa --> The City of Tampa

the Nations oldest city --> the Nation's oldest city

What do you mean by the Nation? Do you mean the whole of the United States?

Add a space after "Orlando,"

Add a space after the comma in "and,of"

You have repeated "the" in "the the Everglades".

Are you sure the Everglades are the world's biggest swamp? They look pretty small compared with the West Siberian Plain, which is really big and is all swamp.

It was founded in the 1500s --> Florida was founded in the 1500s

population center --> population centre

senarios --> scenarios

a third of it's present size --> a third of its present size

the states penchant --> the state's penchant

.8 meters --> 0.8 metres

31.4 inches --> about 30 inches

the Future --> The Future

So, it's clear to everyone that the Creek are an Indian tribe? I was going to suggest adding a word or two, but perhaps it's not necessary (I had to look it up myself!)

Otherwise, smiley - ok ! (as soon as there are more commas! LOL!)

I wasn't very fond of the last section - it seemed out of place in the rest of the entry...

But on the whole, this is a good overview of what Homer Simpson famously referred to as 'America's wang'. smiley - run

As this is my article I think I will keep the structure what it is.
I appreciate the input but I'm keeping it the way it is.

An excellent Entry, but there are a few minor things like the omission of spaces between words/clauses and extra spaces here and there.

You have also omitted the colon after 'Population' and 'State Tree' in the statistics section. I would recommend you provide a metric translation for your imperial statistics, although this is not a serious issue. smiley - smiley

Well done.

I posted a rather lengthy reply on the older version peer review, most of which I still think holds true even with your revisions. (And btw, I am a native Floridian and life-long resident.)

Rather than repost it completely here, I refer you to that one, and want to say you still have inaccuracies in your article (including about crackers "moving" here -- the term designates native Floridians and you don't even explain why they are called that -- which I did in my first reply).

Personally, I feel most of the statistical information you've included can be found on countless other sites, and your inaccurate editorializing of events (the 2000 election problems -- caused mostly by Democratic officials in Palm Beach, Broward, and Dade counties, NASA and their inner workings, etc.) detracts from the article.

Please go back and read my other peer review on the first version. As-is, I've seen far better reviews of Florida and you really need to go back and get your facts clarified before you editorialize. It reads more like a travel site than a review by someone with in-depth knowledge of the state. You should pick a focus and write about that rather than a poorly-researched generalization of the state.

The spelling of "center" is correct in US English. "Centre" is the Canadian and UK spelling. Neither is incorrect.

In the context of the Edited Guide, 'center' is incorrect as Edited Entries are in British English. In the outside world, however, I agree!

You're right, madmumbler, but this site is based in the UK and paid for by TV licence-fee payers in the UK, and Douglas Adams was an Englishman, which is why the Writing-Guidelines specify UK rather than US English for entries that aim for the Edited Guide.

Although it's not a huge problem if the author is from the USA and feels strongly about wanting to use US English... if picked for the Edited Guide the <./>SubEditor</.> will change it to UK English anyway, but speaking as an ex-Sub it's always very nice and helpful if authors can use UK English.
