Hello
I feel like I've written so much the past couple of weeks about the Terri Schiavo tragedy that I'm nearly written out. Living in Florida, we've been deluged with this case for years while the world seems surprised to see that anyone is removed from a feeding tube. (Which, btw, happens every day all over the world to thousands of people.)
I think it's outrageous that the government (and the world) thought it had any right whatsoever to insert themselves into a very private, tragic matter that the court system had already repeatedly made valid findings on. It was already proven she'd made comments wishing to not be kept alive in that condition, and the parents, out of their misguided love and overwhelming grief, sought to keep her chained to this world for their emotional well-being, not what was best for her.
That said, I'm a free-lance writer and teacher working at home. I run a website (www.madmumbler.com) selling embroidery designs and tutorials for computerized embroidery programs. I am a proud mommy to an extrodinary wheelchair racing nine year-old, and proud wife to a newspaper editor/reporter. I stumbled upon this site purely by chance while searching for more information on something mentioned by a CNN reporter reporting on Pope John Paul II's election to power, saying there were three popes in one month. And that Google search brought me here. (I'm not Catholic, but he did great work.)
