September the 11th today

Well, there are more pressing current affairs to deal with, really.
The more 9/11 fades from the collective memory of the States, the better off the country will be, IMO. Raw anger is not a good starting point for foriegn or domestic policy.
Though saying that it was a HELL of a day for the US, no matter what perspective you look at it from.
Such a sad, sad day for so many reasons.
Life goes on.

Not meaning to say that biologists can't joke, just that for them 'life goes on' in many more ways than most of us are aware of.

Sorry, I didn't mean to offend you. It was a horrific event, just as Katrina was. But people have to get on with their lives and not dwell.

This may sound heartless but I can only say to you what I said to people who were offended by my not being upset about Princess Diana's death. Kids lose their parents all the time. Car crashes, murders. It's happening now. I can't get upset or grieve about every nasty event in this cruel world. There comes a point where you have to be selfish and carry on with your own life.
