Gnomon - time to move on

Sweetbreads are the pancreas or thymus gland of an animal. I don't know the word for bull's testicles when used as food but lamb's testicles are sometimes known as frivolities.

Magnolia Thunderpussy, Geisha of the Web

I believe I've heard the bulls testicles called Rocky Mountain Oysters, though that is probably a local term.

frivolities? it seems to me that there is nothing frivolous about eating lambs testicles. surely it is something not to be entered into lightly, and to be taken very seriously indeed.
