Not a clue, as I famously managed just 15 minutes of Latin before being evictae/evicta/evictum whatever...

Gnomon - time to move on Posted Nov 17, 2000
Are you sure about this Latin? My Latin dictionary said of "girumimus", this starts like an English word, not a Latin word.
Other words:
nocte - night
consumimur - use up, devour
igni - flame
My Latin isn't good enough to figure out who does which to what.

JK: maybe if you gave the context for the phrase someone might be able to help you?

Clive the flying ostrich: Amateur Polymath | Chief Heretic. Posted Nov 18, 2000
I'm probably wrong; but isn't this the latin phrase spoken by Haly-Joel Osment in the Sixth Sense?
Holywood tanslation: "Out of the depths I cry to thee 'O' Lord."
Clive.
