Dreams - can they come true?

I had a dream last night, that involved myself and a few workmates doing our best to escape the clutches of a enormous T-Rex shaped dinosaur, except it was female and a little more cuddly! I think it stopped when I got squashed under a foot (which is a bit of a relief actually cos somebody once said that if you die in a dream you may not wake up). We weren't allowed to kill the dinosaur because she originated from a children's book (any ideas?), and represented all the little fat girls that got picked on getting their own back. What does this signify??!

This obviously won't be coming true, but I frequently witness things that I've dreamed about, mostly I don't remember I've dreamed it till it happens. It's commonly referred to as Deja-Vu. What are your experiences of this?

ps. I'd love to hear of your dreams as well, be they "normal" or completely and utterly weird! What do you think they mean?

Yeah, some ppl talk about how you will die for real if you die in a dream. I´d really like to hear somebody explain where they have this from. Cos somebody who´s experienced it shouldn´t really be able to tell others about it.

It seems Deja Vu is mainly caused by adjusting your memories to fit what´s happening now.

But sometimes I've remembered these "foretelling" dreams after I've woken up, and been even more surprised when they happen weeks/months later. I'm not aware of adjusting my memory, an event sparks of memory of a dream, which used to surprise me but now I sit back and see if the rest of the conversation/occurance continues as the dream did.

Last night I went to America, not sure exactly where but it was in a big city. I was staying overnight in a Warner Bros hotel, and had to find my own room which was called the "Joan Collins Room", not the Joan Collins Suite however cos I didn't have enough money for that!

I have also had dreams that 'came true'. They usually involved work situations - a conversation with colleagues, for example. Some time later, usually weeks, the same conversation occurred with the same people. A while after that, my life underwent some change. In at least one case it was a new job. It hasn't happened recently, though.

I do have foretelling dreams from time to time. I mean you never really know whether they are foretelling or just express your wishes, but anyway.
Once I dreamed about a girl in special needs I was going to look after. I didn't know her before, but some people mentioned that she would very likely be very challenging. A few days before I went on that summer camp with her I dreamed about her and the way she would behave and how we would get along together, that it would be very demanding in the beginning, but then things would turn out surprisingly well. I even dreamed of some particular situations. And in the end it really turned out to be that way.
As I said I am not sure whether this dream really was foretelling, but it contained lots of stuff that came true and that I couldn't have known before.
(Hope it wasn't too boring for you, to read all of that smiley - smiley)
