It's our nature, darlin'. But, on the other hand, men can be a confusing lot too. Seems like it's always the case that one person is going to be more in love than the other.
My personal gripe is that so many people are driven by the "challenge" of winning someone's heart, and then when they have it they lose interest.
What in particular are you confused about?

Life confuses me let alone my own sex or the opposite sex or any other gender related issue.Just remember(check the Who understands men
conversation)that people are people with a gender attatched.The statement should go 'people confuse me'.
