I used to play in a band that was called Sandy Heath and the Transmitters. This is a very humorous name indeed. The significance may be lost if you don't live somewhere near a place called Sandy (Bedfordshire, UK) where there is a TV and Radio transmitter called the Sandy Heath Transmitter. We never had global success.
We have considered (and rejected) the following:-
Walter Tank and the Emotion Heaters.
Pearl Barley and the Cereal Killers.
Matt Emulsion and the Decorators.
And loads more imensly side splittingly funny names.
Is there anyone out there willing to contribute to our search for the ultimate name?

One of my sons used to play in a band called Carlton Scroop after a very small Lincolnshire village they used to travel through on the way to band practice in Gainsborough.HTH

The nearest I ever got was going to be called "The Broiled Munkfish and Fire Damaged Jiffy Bags"...or was that going to be the name of our pub?

John Peel played something by his favourite 'something and the somethings' band on his show a while ago. 'Stark Naked and the Car Theives' they were called.
