Can anyone tell me if D'Artagnan's horse was ever named, either in books, film or tv shows?

Does being called 'a with legs' by Rochefort count? In the films directed by Richard Lester (he also directed Beatles films 'A Hard Day's Night' and 'Help!' as well as parts of 'Superman', most of 'Superman II' and all of 'Superman III') it's called 'Buttercup'.
