I like the idea of harrumphing. I will have to get trained up into its use

It's probably best to start with tutting. Then to work up to harrumph via Tchah! and Pfft!

I'm quite good at tutting already, and I think I can handle tchah but the other two I will need to work on

Tutting is such a difficult art to master correctly... But, in the correct hands, and successuly used, can have the most immediate and forceful of effects.... I wasn't able to get onto the course at the local colllege to do it, the last time they ran an evenign course in it; It was fully subscribed within hours of being put up on their web-site So my amature tutting has to suffice currently harumphing I can but only dream of... One day... one glorious day... well... a man can dream...

We need lots of vids, of people, doing them all, in succetion.... preferably middle aged men, wearing a dressing gown, or smoking jacket... hundreds and thousands of vids, up on the net, cross-posted onto all the video hosting sites.... thousands of people, tutting harrumping and suchlike, into their camras... Its going to be so big, maan....

When I say I am good at tutting, I mean I am good at tutting to myself in private. I had a few goes in public but well that's more difficult because there are issues with timing, loudness and direction and it has to be cordinated with the tuttee or should that be tuttor. I think posture might also have something to do with it. Oh well I think I need to sit down, thinking can be quite exhausting don't you know. Maybe I should read the zen mastery of tutt.

Posture is, I thihnk, from what I've read, on the matter, quite key to a successful and effective public tutting, I also limit my tutting to when I'm at home, or, if I'm brave, in the queue at the postoffice, where, lets face it, the general level and quality of tutting these days is so inferior, that I feel safe I'm going to avoid embarasment by the low level and quality and delivery of my own tutts...

You may laugh... But what of the poor chairs? It brings a tear to my eye, and a pain to my heart, just thinking of them... all alone, neglected, all over the nation, in drawing rooms, and librarys, in hallways and in front-rooms, lonley, neglected, and forgotten chairs, sourly the taste of their horrible fate plagues my waking day, as their pictures, engraved in my brain, haunght me, their poor, poor, plaintive plees for helps, their gentle whimpering, but no one seems to hear... no one seems to care, the poor, poor disregarded chairs of our once great chair-loving nation... Forgotten... Fallen... Neglected, abused and misused, so, so , so sad... so cruel... so horrible, The poor poor chairs...

Aye! The poor, poor chairs, but let us not forget
the three legged stool or the Table of Contents.
For upon the Bed of Roses lie the Pillows of Dreams
and here the tears flow most fluidly for the milking
stool that stands beyond the pail.
