I still haven't got over Ena Sharples's daughter, 'Our Vera' dying of a brain tumour.

We never did get to see Mr Poppadopolous.

Tis a long way from Weatherfield to Walford

I went off it when suddenly it was Weatherfield. That was like some bureacratic invented name.

In Walford they're convinced Cindy Beale is dead. What they don't realise is that she's living in Weatherfield under an assumed name and running the pub!

It was Mr Papagopoulos (never seen) who bought out Swindley's Emporium and renamed the shop Gamma Garments.

I think it eventually became Miami Modes with Elsie Tanner managing the shop.

Oh god I remember hearing about the Mr. Papagopolus thing.

He's probably still incredibly young looking..

I'm going to start watching it again.

(But I'll be careful about spoilers. Last year I blabbed about the Gail thing...and people in Canada and NZ hadn't got to that. I don't know if they have still so I won't say again.

Surely they have noticed that it's just the same storylines recycled year after year after year.
(and since they upped the number of days its on in a week - even multiple times daily now - month after month after month)

Hmm. I'm not *entirely* sure how one would talk about a soap without actually mentioning the plot. Or why.

One of these days I want someone in a soap to have an extra-marital affair and.... get away with it....

Or a wedding where nothing happens.

Soaps are a process thing.

True. They set up stories well in advance and let them mature.
