It was Taff. He was somewhat annoyed that Chris Evans had started playing Christmas tunes on his show already.

<>

i did not, the title was 2 words

Ginger - which he is, his company is called ginger productions, so no offence there

Twonk - which is a nonsence, funny sounding word, which narrow minded people might find offensive

smiley - bat

I've noticed you can't say 'Ginger' in that context any more - it's considered derogatory to red-haired people.

Especially if the first G is hard, and the whole word is pronounced to rhyme with 'ringer', 'minger', etc.

How can you tell how it's pronounced when it's written down? smiley - bigeyes

That's nothing here in Trinidad they start preparing in October. by the end of October all Malls are decked out with trees and decorations etc.

November sees the start of the Parang season (Spanish origin music played at Christmas).

However it doesn't feel like Christmas when its 33 deg C.

But Chris's show is far more of a kid's (and big kid's) show. He's an excitable chap, and Christmas is an exciting time for little kids (and for parents of little kids - and he is one at the moment).

If he had started playing Christmas songs in November, then yes, but it's December now. Let the guy have some fun.

All radio stations in Ireland and all shopping centres start playing Christmas music on 1st December.

Well, there are Christmas Songs and those that should be only played as a form of torture.

I quite like this though:

You can call me TC

I think as long as it's limited to Chris Evans for a couple more days, that's fine. As has been said, the sort of people who listen to his show will be going along with it anyway.

And as it's already started snowing (who allowed THAT to happen?) it really all does have a Christmassy feel to it.

Nowt wrong with gingers, I luv em smiley - smiley

However as someone who's been teased badly for most of hi life about it, my boyfriend does feel that a lot of anti-ginger stuff is as wrong as anti gay or anything else. Using a word AS a derogatory term is not really a nice thing to do. Just because it's socially acceptable to call people gingers, hippies, chavs etc as a negative with venom or derision doesn't mean it's actually the sort of behaviour that a reasonably intelligent person really ought to partake in, in an ideal world.

There are plenty of words we cant even USE now because of the meanings applied to them by people who wanted to persecute others.
