Hi,

I heard it discussed on the news this morning that The World Conference of Literature, which was being held in London, declared the word "serendipity" to be the most popular word.

I would like if people would give their favorite words.

My most favored word is oxymoron - it is such a lovely descriptive word and next is quintessential

smiley - fishsmiley - fishsmiley - fishsmiley - fish

Mine is PANTS. The british word for underwear. But it is also a slang for something that isn't very good.
e.g This pogo stick is pants the spring is the wrong colour.

I just like the way it is said so easily (not that I have a problem speaking)

Syzygy, for a definition look in the Word of the Day: http://www.h2g2.com/WordOfTheDay

Here you go, Croz: Rhythms.

Okay, the plural form isn't in the dictionary per se, but it *is* the longest word with no vowels in the English language...

I admit defeat.

Still like syzygy though, it just rolls off the tongue.

I suppose 'pseudopsychology' would just be a branch of pseudoscience in general. But we knew that anyway... smiley - winkeye

It's a bit of a tautology in my opinion, as I don't think I've ever come across a psychologist who wasn't also a bit of a pseud... smiley - winkeye

Hey, there's another nice word - tautology.
