When people say online that they will do x thing soon, like write a certain blog entry, or update a Guide Entry . It sounds so reasonable or exciting or hopeful, unless you are reading it two years later and it still hasn't been done.
There should be a term for the indelibility of the internet too.
Is there a term for this?

I am guilty of this. Once it has been written, you have evidence that your intention never got carried out.
In speech, or RL conversations, there is no proof that you said something so definite, unless your friends have a perfect memory or had a video of the whole thing.
Plus, I reserve the right to change my mind!
