First off, UK law I think any books are copyrighted until 70 years after the death of the author, so make sure you don't fall foul of that.
Providing your books are legal, do you already have them on your computer? If not, you can either type them up, or scan them in as an image (some software recognises type and turns it into letter, but it's not 100% reliable - it's called Optical Character Recognition, or OCR). The paid-for full version of Adobe Writer will do this for you.
The sharing part I'm not so hot on, I'm afriad.
