Halloween

Post 1

We're thinking of having a Halloween theme night at our social club. Can anyone suggest some ideas (and recipes) for Halloween foods - all I can think of is pumpkin pie and there's got to be more than that.

What other Halloween party games could we have besides telling ghost stories? We are a family club, so please make suggestions that are suitable in front of children.

Games we used to play at Hallowe'en include
Apple bobbing: float apples in a tub of water. Contestants pick them out with their teeth. If you can then peel the apple in a long strip, throw the strip over your shoulder and it will form the initial of the person you are going to marry.
Flour messes: make a solid heap of flour and place a small silver coin in the middle of the top.Contestants cut away a slice of flour from the edges until the coin falls. The winner is the last but one to make a cut. You can also put wrapped sweets in the middle of a similar flour heap and get people to picl them out with their teeth
Hang marshmallows on a string - again to be rescued with teeth
Any recipe that includes marshmallow seems to be OK for Hallowe'en.

nice halloween games seem to usually include best costume..and the mummy/toilet paper game....the former is self explanitory.
the latter i shall explain for you...it is a relay race where there are about 3 peeps per team, where two teem members must each push a roll of bathroom tissue accross the floor with thier noses. n when they reach the 3rd team membr, they proceed to wrap that member in toilet paper untill both rolls are used. first team done wins.

another great game...the pumpkin drop...this usually requires a balcony or second story window. a target is placed under the window/balcony then pumpkins are dropped. whom ever get s thier pumpkin closest to the center of the target wins.
