A Conversation for Ask h2g2

I've been away for quite some time, and my conversation list is a mile long. Is there some way to unsubscribe from more than one at a time? Pretty time consuming doing it individually...
Thanks in advance for any help!

I've been wondering how to do this as well. It's especially time-consuming if you are picking from the second or third page of your list.

I have found I can clear multiple items if my comp is runnuing slow, I just keep clicking on the stars (I use brunel), sometimes I can clear 4 or five things at once

There isn't a way to do this, but it has been on the feature suggestions list for absolutely ages.
If they ever do a new skin hopefully they'll add this one.

Can't you just unsubcribe from Ask completely and then resub to individual threads from the ask page?

There doesn't seem to be any way of clearing multiple items, but to do this with the minimum of clicks, you should use the Brunel skin.
Go to:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/MP followed by your user number without the U followed by ?show=500. This will show the most recent 500 conversations. Each one will have an x for unsubscribe beside it.
Click on the x, and you will get a message to say that you are unscribed , with a helpful link to return to the postings list. Don't click on this link, as it will have to reload the page of 500 conversations. Click the Back button in your browser instead. The conversation you've unsubscribed from will still be listed, but you can ignore it. Proceed in this way, unsubscribing from everything.
When you get confused and can't remember which ones you've unsubscribed from, use the Refresh/Reload button to get an up-to-date list of conversations.

Sometimes using the back button reloads the page as well. I'd suggest just rightclicking on each x to open it in a new window. That way each x changes colour so you know that you've done that one.
I'd not suggest 500 though, maybe half that to avoid the wrath of Jim...

For PC users:
Open up your 'Show More Conversations' page.
Right-click on the unsubscribe X next to each title you wish to unsubscribe from and select 'Open in New Window'. This way, if you click an unsub by accident you can click open the title and resubscribe.
Keep going until all of the threads you wish to unsubcribe from on that page have been clicked. You can then close all of the windows.
Now refresh your 'More Conversations' page and the convos will shunt up the page. Carry on doing this until you're ahppy with the remaining convos.
It's not as easy as an 'everything at once', but it's slightly easier than going back and forth from each thread - and puts a little less strain on the servers. This is how I clear out my in-box occasionally.

Same thing works on the Mac. I you have a one buton mouse hold down the Control key and click the Unsub. star to get a drop-down menu. Continue as Jim suggests or if you have tabbed browsing open each unsub. in a new tab.

Thanks. You have to admit that spelling = 7/10, typing is two fingered and cack-handed and sense was probably lacking at the time. Too much of the falling down water!
